18 Life-Lessons From 21 years Of My Life
I’m 21 years old. My life taught me some of the lessons which I never want to forget. I want to share these with you so that you can learn something from my experiences and live a better life.
Here are 18 lessons from 21 years of my life:
Focus on what you can control:
If you are focusing on the things which are not in your control then you are wasting your energy. Don’t wish that people will change. They will not. Learn to accept them as they are. Accept what you can’t change and focus on that what is in your control. Focus on the things that can make your life better.
We can’t control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we respond to things we can’t control.
Choose your friends wisely:
Choose the people around you wisely. They can help you to grow. They can make you fall down. They can heal your soul. They can damage you. They can make you, break you. Your friends should motivate and inspire you. Your circle should be well rounded and supportive. Choose your friends that you can trust.
Loving yourself is the best thing:
Self-love is very important. Love yourself the way you love your dearest person. Care yourself the way you want your loved one to care for you. Love yourself and try to help yourself in becoming the best version of yourself. If you can’t love yourself, you can’t love anyone else. If you can’t love yourself, you can’t become the best version of yourself. Be the best version of yourself.
Cry whenever you feel crying:
Without the fear of being judged, let your emotions came out. Don’t hide your emotions. If you want to cry, cry. If you want to smile, smile. You are a human being and it’s fine to feel your emotions. Crying is not bad at all. It makes you more stronger.
Don’t be afraid of being judged:
No matter what you do, someone will always be unhappy with that. Don’t let anyone’s judgments change your decisions. Do whatever you want to do, you will not regret it. Don’t be afraid of being judged. If we start thinking about what others will think then what they will think? Let others decide what they will think. People’s opinions are not who you are. Other’s opinions can’t define you.
Your thoughts don’t define you, your actions do:
You can think whatever you want. You can think as much big as you want. But you have to act on your great thoughts if you want to be great. If you want to achieve your dreams then start taking action accordingly. Dreams will remains dreams without actions.
Learn from other’s success, you can achieve more than that if you learn. If you are jealous then it will make you more jealous and unhappy. If someone is doing better, learn to appreciate that. Try to learn from these people who are doing great. They have so much that we can learn from them.
Failure is a part of life:
Accept it that failure is a part of life. Don’t think that everything should be perfect. Failure is going to happen one day. If not in your career then maybe in your relationships. Remember that it is just a part of life. Ups and downs are parts of life. Don’t afraid of them, just face them and win over them. You are more than that.
Don’t take people for granted:
They will not remain forever in your life. If you love them, show it. If someone is good with you don’t take his goodness for granted. Nothing is permanent.
Helping others makes you happy:
Remember, when you helped someone. If you ever did then how it feels? Did you ever feel it? It’s one of the most beautiful feelings of happiness. Help others.
Traveling can make us a better person:
Don’t say no when there is any chance you to travel. Just pick your bag and go out. The world has so many beautiful places.
Don’t let your innocence die:
Just because the world is hard, it doesn’t mean you have to be fit in that hardness. You can enjoy your innocence. A child enjoy his smiles to the fullest.
Take care of your health:
Health is wealth. If your body will not remain healthy then what will you do of other things? Try to give at least twenty minutes for exercise.
Listen to yourself:
Listen to your body. Our bodies know exactly what they need to be nourished, fulfilled, happy, and whole. Our bodies know what they need to be satisfied and healthy. Feel what you feel. Listen to your intuition.
If you want the world to respect you then respect yourself first.
You can learn anything:
You can learn anything. And with regular practice, you can master anything. If you really want to achieve something and you do it with all your heart then the universe helps you to achieve your goal.

You can learn anything.
If you want to enjoy your life to the fullest then you have to leave your comfort zone. Great things start happening beyond comfort zone. I’m glad that I know that. Do one thing every day that scares you.
Be your friend:
You can be your best friend or your greatest enemy. Know the difference and be your best friend.
